The Cradle - 2

The Shutter Release for the Canon is achieved through two microswitches.
The servo pulls their two paddles, which have been bent so that the the "measure" circuit is switched before the "fire" circuit (as required).
This method of releasing the shutter has proved much more reliable than using a mechanical "finger" to press the shutter release button.
