The Aboriginal flag Kite Aerial Photography
Q: "When is a flag not a flag?"

A: When it's a "barometer".

A few hundred metres east of the school, near the CBD of Parramatta, this flag proudly flies.
It is the flag of the Australian Indigenous person - or Aborigine.

There is no more welcome sight than the appearance of this flag standing at attention in a stiff breeze.
It is indeed my barometer of wind conditions around the school.
(At least until I finish my electronic anemometer.)
