Pleurotus nidiformis
the Ghost fungus
April 2001

click to return The true colours of p. nidiformis are very difficult to capture. This image is a little too contrasty, and the grey colouration on the tops of the cups is an artefact of scanning.

I would describe the colours as pale beige and light brown to dark brown in the centres of the cups.

The film was 400ASA Kodak "Gold".
Exposure was 2 minutes at f/4, 55mm lens.
