"...The T.E.Rofe Prize, valued at £6, is awarded annually for the best essay on a selected topic in Australian history, and is open for competition to all pupils in New South Wales who have passed the Intermediate Examination in History. The subject of the essay was 'The Bligh Rebellion; its Causes and Consequences.' ..."
Cyril continued to excel at Sydney University and as previously mentioned his academic achievements have never been surpassed. He was awarded several scholarships among them the G.S. Caird Scholarship, the Thomas Henry Coulson Scholarship and the Symon Scholarship.
He was appointed as a Justice of the Supreme Court of NSW in 1954, serving also as a Judge of Appeal. In 1969 he was appointed to the High Court of Australia and received a knighthood. He became a Privy Counsellor in 1971.
