The Moon 20 days old

moon - 30/9/1999 - 300mm telephoto on webcam

This shot was taken in the wee small hours of 30/9/99, through a 300mm telephoto lens attached to a webcam.

This gives an effective focal length (relative to a 35mm film frame) of 300x9=2700mm.

The moon is 20 days old - waning gibbous.
Two and a half weeks later, the moon is in its first quarter. See it here.
