 The Moon in close-up
All the shots in this series of moon closeups were taken with a 90mm (1250mm f.l.) ETX reflector telescope with a CCD webcam positioned at its prime focus. This yields the approximate equivalent of a 13 metre telephoto lens on a standard 35mm camera!

Copernicus
This image shows Copernicus and the surrounding area, taken when the sun was almost directly overhead.
This can be compared with an earlier image, taken when Copernicus was on the terminator.
Note the difference caused by the higher angle of the sun - the rays are prominent and the crater walls are much less obvious in this image.
